The PROSPECT+ project team has announced a final round of capacity building for local and regional public authorities, alongside their corresponding energy agencies, centered on innovative financing.

The PROSPECT+ project team has announced a final round of capacity building for local and regional public authorities, alongside their corresponding energy agencies, centred on innovative financing. The opportunity is open until 1 March, 2024 through a relatively simple application available here. Applicants from the EU27, UK, and H2020 associated countries are eligible for this support.

The PROSPECT+ call differs from the European City Facility Call (closing on 15 March) in not offering a lump sum but instead supporting participants directly with funded study visits, expert mentoring and the use of engaging Peer-learning methods.

The capacity building programme presents cities, regions, and energy agencies with a platform for knowledge exchange in the realm of innovative financing schemes. These schemes encompass a wide spectrum, including Energy Performance Contracting, Third-Party Financing, Revolving and Intracting funds, and Cooperatives for energy communities, and more, all thoughtfully designed to bolster local and regional energy and climate actions.
