Municipalities have an excellent opportunity to gain access to financial support of up to 60,000 € and to provision of technical assistance for the design and maturation of projects that will create the sustainable cities of the future. The funds will be provided by the European Initiative called “European City Facility – EUCF”; the 2nd call for applications will be open until May 31, 2021 at 06:00 p.m. (EEST - Greece local time).
EUCF initiative aims to help the Municipalities to overcome the obstacles that they face regarding the implementation of ambitious energy transition plans and to move towards the use of Renewable Energy Sources. Within this framework, EUCF will fund proposals that will indicatively lie in the field of smart energy management, energy upgrades and carbon footprint reduction.
SUSTAINABLE CITY, as the National Network of the EUCF initiative in Greece, will hold the 2nd National Webinar on April 5, 2021 to inform all the potential interested beneficiaries (e.g. Municipalities, local authorities or their groupings) about the goals of the EUCF and the application process. The webinar will be conducted in Greek and all the steps of the application will be presented in detail.

2ο Διαδικτυακό Σεμινάριο για το EUCF
Μια εξαιρετική ευκαιρία να εξασφαλίσουν οικονομική στήριξη ύψους έως 60.000 € και τεχνική βοήθεια για την εκπόνηση μελετών και την ωρίμανση έργων, τα οποία θα διαμορφώσουν τις βιώσιμες πόλεις του μέλλοντος, έχουν οι Δήμοι υποβάλλοντας αίτημα χρηματοδότησης στην Ευρωπαϊκή πρωτοβουλία European City Facility (EUCF) έως τις 31 Μαΐου 2021 (ώρα Ελλάδος 18:00).
Στόχος της πρωτοβουλίας EUCF είναι να βοηθήσει τους Δήμους να ξεπεράσουν τα εμπόδια που αντιμετωπίζουν στην εφαρμογή φιλόδοξων πλάνων στον τομέα της ενεργειακής μετάβασης και να στραφούν προς τις Ανανεώσιμες Πηγές Ενέργειας. Στο πλαίσιο αυτό θα χρηματοδοτηθούν προτάσεις οι οποίες θα σχετίζονται ενδεικτικά με την έξυπνη διαχείριση ενέργειας, τις ενεργειακές αναβαθμίσεις και τη μείωση του ανθρακικού αποτυπώματος.
Η ΒΙΩΣΙΜΗ ΠΟΛΗ ως Εθνικός Συντονιστής της πρωτοβουλίας EUCF στην Ελλάδα, θα προγματοποιήσει στις 5 Απριλίου 2021 το 2ο Διαδικτυακό Σεμινάριο για να ενημερώσει τους ενδιαφερόμενους Δήμους για τους στόχους του EUCF και τη διαδικασία υποβολής του Αιτήματος Χρηματοδότησης. Το σεμινάριο θα διεξαχθεί στα Ελληνικά και θα εξηγεί αναλυτικά όλα τα βήματα της διαδικασίας υποβολής.
